In February 2006, the British Female Inventors & Innovators Network (BFIIN) nominated Alternatives for her range of African Inspired Christmas Decorations. The collection was exhibited at London’s prestigious Guildhall and received many commendations.

Alternatives is also an active member of the Bexley Afro Caribbean Cultural Association (BACCA) and recently joined the group in exhibiting at the Danson Festival 2007. Alternatives has also showcased its products at a number of venues and fairs: these include Adornment, The W3 Shopping Centre in London, Aklowa and Anansekrom.

Running school workshops is also becoming a regular activity. Recent institutions visited have been Lammas School, in Leyton and Mayplace Primary School, in Barnehurst, Kent.

ReConnect Africa, a unique online magazine for the African professional has featured Alternatives in its March 2008 issue. In an article entitled The Fabulous Alternative, ReConnect Africa spoke to Pauline Brobbey, to learn more about her unique range of products and how she has combined African heritage and Western style in her work.
