I engaged the services of Alternatives and Altergraphs to design logos for two new business projects. Pauline’s excellent communication skills and wealth of experience in dealing with small business clients enabled her to quickly identify my needs. From beginning to end, it was clear that she wanted to deliver logos that would achieve my aims for them. She took my ideas and needs and transformed them into logos that reflected all of my desires. I was particularly impressed with the thoroughness in the questions she asked me concerning my wants and needs.

Pauline was very professional in the delivery of her services, being prompt and reliable, as well as helpful in suggesting a variety of possible designs to produce the image desired. She is results oriented and keeps you informed. She delivered when she said she would; within budget, with fantastic results.

It has been an absolute pleasure to work with Pauline and I’m honored to have her name on my projects. If you’re looking for logo design, entrust yourself to Pauline. The end result will not only be a striking and beautiful logo, but one that will truly reflect who you are.

Seldom is it that one finds a designer who demonstrates a keen interest and passion for a project that has no personal bearing to them. When first deciding to publish my book 2 years ago, I approached Alter Graphs although I live in the states and they are located in the UK with vague direction at best. However, a beautiful logo was created for me in a very short period of time – it was precisely what I wanted and worked perfectly for my book. I learned a valuable lesson – graphic design work does not have to be limited to a geographic location. When looking for the best service, one must never be afraid to venture overseas!

Shortly following, I presented Alter Graphs with the then cover of my book which had been created by another designer that I was most displeased with. Although it captured my basic concept, it was just too busy and I could not figure out how to change it without forgoing my entire concept. Alter Graphs designed a simplified version of what I had initially provided to them. It was crisp and clean without at all compromising my initial concept.

That was important to me – that someone understood the sensitivity of not completely altering my vision and communicating with me so I could understand what had been done and why. I was given several options and chose the design that would eventually become the cover of my book.

What every client will find at Alter Graphs is patience, understanding, creativity, skill, clear communication, and respect. Their level of interest and professionalism makes their clients comfortable and confident that they will receive the best level of service possible, and that they will walk away completely satisfied. I would recommend Alter Graphics to EVERYONE and I would not dream of taking any of my graphic needs any where else!

Working with Pauline Brobbey was a joy.  In the beginning, I had an idea for my wedding and she worked with me to make it a reality.  She involved me in every step of the process from the design to proofing.  She was conscious about my budget and worked within its constraints to deliver a product with was of excellent quality and exactly what I asked for.

Pinkie

AlterGraphs designed the logo and promotional material for my company, Pinkies Nibbles.  When I initially started my business, I had an idea of its ‘image’ in my mind’s eye but making this tangible was a challenge.  After an initial brain-storming session and a number of consultations with AlterGraphs my logo was created – and it was spot on!! I was really pleased with the professionalism and patience I was treated to through out the entire process and have since then maintained a long-standing, wonderful working relationship with AlterGraphs.

I was put in touch with Pauline of Alternatives when I contacted Divine, the fair-trade Ghanaian chocolate supplier.  I was looking for someone who knew about Adinkra symbols, someone who could understand my vision and transform it into reality; essentially, someone who could craft beautiful items especially for our traditional engagement and our wedding. Pauline is all of those things and more.

From the first day we spoke, we hit it off straight away.  She was warm, friendly and obviously an expert in art and design. Pauline offered great advice from both an artistic and practical perspective and did an excellent job in consulting with me throughout the design and production process; she really took on board my ideas, taking them to a new level of style and sophistication. In comparison to other vendors we dealt with during our wedding planning, Alternatives stood out as providing the perfect blend of personality, professionalism and a real eye for beauty.

Pauline created for us, several metres of kente print ribbon, Ghanaian style gift tags and even the most exquisite adinkra printed gift wrap for our traditional engagement. It was all so gorgeous and we received lots of positive comments from our guests.
After my first experience, I was keen to work with Pauline again.  The second experience was equally great and as a result, I am now the proud owner of two stunning handmade kente hair flowers.  Pauline even offered to convert them into brooches, so that I could also use them on bags/jackets – anything. This is another thing that I liked about Alternative’s service, it was tailored to me, it made me feel special – it was bespoke.

Working with Pauline has been a fantastic experience. It’s always good to work with someone who offers a friendly service, as well as good quality, brilliant consultations and timely delivery of your purchases. Alternatives is the real deal, creating beautiful and unique, African-inspired products with sophistication and flair. The icing on the cake is that they’re all presented by a warm and talented Ghanaian craftswoman.
The only thing to decide is – what I would like next…
